How Escrow Works

Buyer pays Megra
Your payment goes to Megra's secure escrow account — not directly to the seller.

Seller ships the item
The seller is notified and must ship within 24 hours. They upload a package photo and rider details.

Buyer confirms delivery
Once you receive your item and confirm it's as described, payment is released to the seller.
Auto-release after 48 hours
If you don't confirm within 48 hours of delivery, payment is automatically released to protect the seller.
How Disputes Work
If your item arrives damaged, missing, or significantly different from what was shown — don't confirm delivery. Open a dispute immediately.
What Megra uses as evidence:
Live stream recording of the auction
Package photo uploaded by seller before shipment
Shipping and tracking records
Photos uploaded by buyer as evidence
Megra sides with evidence — not assumptions. Both buyer and seller are treated fairly.
How Seller Verification Works
Every seller on Megra is manually reviewed before they can list or go live. We verify:
Full legal name
NIN (National Identity Number)
Phone number
Store name and description
Sellers providing false information are permanently banned and reported to relevant authorities.
Buyer Protection
Payment always protected
Your money is never released until you confirm receipt.
Full refund if seller doesn't ship
If seller fails to ship within 72 hours, you get a full automatic refund.
Item not as described
Open a dispute with evidence. Megra investigates using stream recordings and photos.
Off-platform payments = permanent ban
Any seller asking you to pay outside Megra is immediately banned.
How Refunds Work
Refunds are processed in these situations:
- Seller doesn't ship within 72 hours → automatic full refund
- Item significantly not as described (dispute won by buyer) → full refund
- Seller cancels after auction ends → full refund + seller penalty
Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days back to your original payment method.
